Empowering Fathers. Strengthening Families. Building Community.
Dadz in Motion is a signature program of The Vecina Café Empowerment Center, created to uplift, inspire, and celebrate the vital role of fathers in our communities. Founded with the belief that strong fathers help build strong families, this initiative offers a space where dads can connect, grow, and lead—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Through engaging events, mentorship opportunities, and wellness resources, Dadz in Motion encourages fathers to be present and active in their children's lives while fostering a sense of brotherhood among men from all walks of life.
Whether it’s through fitness, open dialogue, or community activities, Dadz in Motion is more than just a program—it’s a movement. One that reminds every dad: you matter, you belong, and you are not alone.

Our Story: How DIM Began
Dadz in Motion was founded by LeAnn Flores during her time working at a birthing center, where she noticed a recurring pattern—fathers seeking support, guidance, and resources, yet finding very few available to them. Moved by their needs and inspired by the memory of her late uncles, LeAnn saw an opportunity to create something meaningful for dads in her community.
With the help of family and friends, she organized the first Dadz in Motion event in just three months. The event brought together local vendors, wellness resources, and a sense of brotherhood—all under one roof—to uplift, empower, and celebrate fathers. Drawing on her background in film and media, LeAnn also launched a photo shoot campaign to amplify the mission and create powerful visuals that captured the heart of the movement.
Her passion was rooted in her own childhood, shaped by the many community events her family attended together—experiences that left a lasting impression and taught her the value of connection, belonging, and support.
Six months after that first event, LeAnn teamed up with her mentor, Shawn Robinson, to begin planning the next phase of Dadz in Motion. Together, they’re working to expand the program’s reach and impact, continuing to build a strong, inclusive community where fathers feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
